Boolavogue Textile Studio
The inspiration for the Boolavogue Textile Studio evolved through Wexford County Council’s 1998 Summer Fun Youth Arts Festival. The late tapestry artist Joanne Breen ran a tapestry residency for children in July of that year. Many parents of the participating children expressed their interest in weaving and as a result formed a series of adult evening classes, which were facilitated by Joanne.
