Streetscape and Portrait Painter
Seamus O’ Colmain was born in Dublin in 1925, he studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and he also studied in Paris. O’ Colmain is well known as a streetscape artist, especially for his scenes depicting everyday life in Dublin. He was also a portrait artist. O’ Colmain was a committee member of the Irish Branch of The International Committee of Art for The Handicapped and was Vice-President of the United Arts Club. O’ Colmain died in 1990 aged 65.
