Director at CAST Bronze Foundry
Leo Higgins was born in Dublin in 1951, he currently works as a part-time lecturer at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and is a self-taught sculptor. Higgins is a director of CAST Bronze foundry in Dublin and he is one of the founding members of the Sculptor’s Society of Ireland, which is now called Visual Arts Ireland.

Oireachtas Prize for Sculpture
Winner of the Oireachtas Prize for Sculpture in 1984 and 1985, Higgins has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout Ireland, including the Royal Hibernian Academy, Wexford Festival Exhibition and Sculpture in Context, Dublin. Large public commissions include ‘Justice’ for the new Criminal Courts in Dublin and ‘Rivverrun’ for the UNESCO/Dublin City of Literature Library Garden.
