BIOGRAPHY

Grainne Codd was born in Wexford in 1978 and studied at the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art and Design and also at the National College of Art and Design. The paintings within the County Collection are explorations into the mixing of colour and light. Each painting concentrates on the three primary colours of cyan, magenta and yellow.

Codd has exhibited in various group exhibitions in Ireland, and was the recipient of the Wexford County Council Emerging Artist Bursary (2005). Collections include Wexford County Council, Dun Laoghaire of Institute of Art, Design & Technology, The Office of Public Works, Filmhouse, Temple Bar, Dublin, and the Department of Education as well as private collections in Ireland and Britain.
