BIOGRAPHY

Joanne & Frances Breen were sisters born in Wexford who often worked collaboratively until Joanne’s passing at the very young age of 40. Joanne was an incredibly talented textiles artist, while Frances works in calligraphy and explores the world of language, rhythm, resonance – often historical, at times contemporary, and responds to the challenge of giving text visual form.
